Looks great...but the window is the last thing I would have installed. Working on the dash will now be a pain in the butt.

3:02 Yeah don't let the cops shoot it. You nurse that buck back to health with those tortilla chips esè. You can bring the deer to SEMA once you fix him too.

That's not just chrome trim, it's called lock strip. It is what tightens up the window seal, holds the window in place, and actually ensures that it's waterproof. You can't just remove it. It's like like a modern car where the windows are bonded in.

Epoxy is only for sealing the body work off. Not for the body work. Thats why you are having trouble sanding it. You want to use high build primer to do the body work and sand the dents and then when its all done you lay the epoxy primer on to seal it.

Some people are gonna dislike the direction of the build, but at the end of the day that’s what makes building cars great, everyone has their own taste! Keep it up👍

If you’re just now tuning in to this build, man have you missed out. Of all the channels I sub to this is the one I look forward to the most. The progress is fascinating. The car is really coming together.

I love that the window frame rolls up with the window.

A few of my friends and I built a rear window louvre for 1986 Firebird using 1/2” PVC board, and some 1/4” stainless steel hydraulic tubing.
The PVC sags under its own weight in a hot environment, so the stainless tubing was used to stiffen the louvres.
It looked great for about 6 months...
Then the cheap paint started to crack and chip.
Ya get what ya paid for...

I’m Pretty impressed with the rear Louvers, back in 1978 i installed a Commercially available set of Louvers on a 1977 280Z 2+ 2 those came with a hinge mechanism for washing and cleaning the Glass but i was a nervous wreck about drilling into a almost brand new Car at the time it all turned out Well i purchased Plexiglass headlight covers from the same outfit and those had little Chrome L bracts that held them onto the Car with Allen Chromed machine Screws

You just love the window louvers haha. They are pretty dope in my opinion. Love your channel and hopefully I can one day have the knowledge to be able to take on projects as you have. Keep doing what you do

Hey if you don’t already have one, you need a giant rubber eraser like thing. I got one at sears, t is meant to clean of junked up sandpaper. You just turn on your sander and stick your rubber eraser on the sandpaper while it’s turning and it’ll clean it all up. Fast and easy and back to sandkng
