The Polish Tatra Sheepdog is a large breed with muscular and robust build. Their average height should be between 60-70 cm, which is 24-28 inches and weight is between 35-60 kg, which is 80-130 pounds. The females are naturally little bit smaller than males.

The Polish Tatra Sheepdog is an independent dog, but also very social, affectionate and loyal. They are like this because of their working history. When they were working as livestock protector, they had to be independent thinkers, but they were also bred to work in company of the shepherd, which leads into very strong bond between them.

We have our "stosh" and he's the best dog, with the livestock and the family! But he sleeps right next to me every night, he only likes watching the animals during his office hours. 😅 He's a very Big boy at 187 lbs and when he stands up he's taller then my husband who's 6"5. He's so good in the house he's never in 4 years had an accident or chewed anything. But it is like having a small pony live with you, The need alot of room.

Hi, Tatras are not highly energetic and don't need a lot of exercise, however it's is a strong dog with excellent stamina
