Показать описание
The World Hydropower Congress is a biennial forum bringing together industry, governments, international organisations, financial institutions and civil society representatives to set the course for sustainable hydropower development.
Under the theme ‘Renewables Working Together’, this year’s World Hydropower Congress will aim to reset the policies, practices and perception of hydropower through a range of sessions and initiatives, including:
· The adoption of the San José Declaration on Sustainable Hydropower, a set of principles and recommendations to guide new developments.
· The launch of the Hydropower Sustainability Standard, a new rating and certification system developed by a multi-stakeholder coalition.
· Landmark reports about future hydropower growth with recommendations for policy-makers and decision-makers.
This opening high-level plenary will set the scene for the 2021 World Hydropower Congress, highlighting global trends and the future for renewables and the clean energy transition.
