If you wanna see how indestructible this era of Toyota trucks were, I highly recommend watching the Top Gear episode with the Hilux. It’s epic.

Thanks for stopping by. ✌️

Since Top Gear showed the world that they are indestructible, I have so much respect for these Toyota pickups. Hope to own one someday.

I just picked up one from my Uncle for $500. It has 306, 000 miles on it but it works like a charm. i use it for small errands around town. Love it.

I had one with 300k miles, drove it from Mass to Florida. About 200 miles from my destination the exhaust rocker arm broke, started backfiring like crazy. I didn't have parts but had tools, switched intake for exhaust rocker and drove the rest of the way on three cylinders! Went 70 down the highway, got a new rocker arm, put it in, ran like before. Love the 22RE engine

These are still so good looking. Man, I miss smaller, two door trucks.

My grandfather had the same truck. He has sadly passed away almost a decade ago. Hopefully one day I might be able to buy one of these trucks, as a dedication to him.

I had a 82 SR5. Ran it 244, 000 sold it to the new owner. Kept the oil changed every 3, 000 ran perfect.

I’ve owned my 1994, DLX pickup for 17yrs…400k miles…best trucks ever. The 4x2 version like this one will run even longer than the 4x4😊

Bought mine new in 94, still have it. Most reliable truck I’ve ever had. 205 k.
It has no rust at all, ( Southern California)

I overheated the 22R-E at least 20 times last year. It’s still going. Had a bad head gasket for months (oil in the radiator). Replaced it and still runs like new.

My family owns a 1991 Winnebago Warrior, which is basically an RV with that pick-up for the frame and a 3VZ V6. We've owned it since 2008 and it has always started right up no problem after each winter. I've ALWAYS wanted to have one of these with a manual as a daily, I absolutely love those trucks!

Toyota Pickup is so simple, easy to maintain and very tuff. I wish I had that one.. I had a 1997 bluish Toyota Kijang Grand Extra 1.8 (limited edition).. changed the seat with the bluish leather, also Gabriel's suspensions with bigger tires and always maintain the original spare parts.. Every guy who saw my car didn't believe I had taken good car 'my Ujang' properly 😊👍🏼

I got one of these with 275, 000 miles on it as my first car. I still have it 6 years later. If you take care of them these things never die.

Man I forget how stripped out you could order these old Toyota pickups. I had a 1993 like this, reg cab/2wd/short bed. Except it was a "deluxe" model, had such fancy options as fuel injection, 5 speed manual instead of 4, carpet, extra sound insulation, nice cloth on the 1 piece bench seat that still didn't lean back. Also had A/C which quit functioning at least a decade before I owned the truck lol.

Beautiful, simple and bulletproof. Really low miles considering the model year. Someone will save that thing.

Those things are hard to kill even if you don’t maintain them, we tried blowing one up when we were young and dumb, that thing just kept running, it was very impressive
