Post-Move Haul and a Visit to the Orchidarium

Two new orchids added to the collection! Phalaenopsis Venosa and Phalaenopsis lindenii. A very restrained haul this time!

It was a wonderful trip to the Orchidarium with so many beautiful orchids. At some point it becomes impossible to smell specific orchids, just because of all the different fragrances floating around.

Oh my ! And oh dear! . Oh my all that beauty!! Amazing orchids. Amazing place. I loved listening to the birds while I watched. Oh dear as in how do you make decisions there? I be stressed out trying to decide. You brought home two real beauties. So different but equally lovely.

Love both phals! The lindleii looks so cute and gorgeous and the venusa is great too! Where did you get them from?

So many beautiful phals...so little space 🤔. Good choices, i have those two also. My lindenii has more of a pattern on the leaves tho not those pretty spots 😊.

Funny thing, I'm to receive on Monday a package with the hybrid between the two, hope it's all I expected hehe.
From what I've read, venosa is supposed to smell a bit like green peppers/crushed bugs and not so perfumey. Interesting how your smells.

That’s actually a decent price for a mature blooming multi-floral Paph that size. I’ve paid more for my two in Canada.

Can I mix inorganic media with organic media for Phelonopsis and onsidium alliance ?
Can there be a coconut fibre padding to preventing small granulated media wash out through the side hole of a clay pot or the net of a plastic basket 6” in size ??
