Designed by the same guy, using the same ideas, using the same set of suppliers for the parts and castings.. 😂

It’s the best driving car you can buy without spending another 80k on top of it for a 911 or another 100k for a Ferrari. Nothing in its price range even comes close in terms of driving feel and engagement.

The V6 in Giulia and Maserati MC20 is a 90° V6, derived from F154 V8 engine.
Would I chose this over an M3? I did.

I believe he said something like, although it has been confirmed that this isn’t related to the Ferrari California engine, it is using the same bore, stroke and angle, this is because it is designed by the same guy

Even after a decade in existence, it's still the best looking saloon in it's class.

I've got a G87 M2 and a QV in the garage and the QV is just on a whole different level to the M2 and it's not just about driving dynamics the QV gets under your skin it's such a desirable thing, you forgive it's faults because it's just so Italian ❤

The qv motor shares the same bore stroke and v angle as the f154. Same starter motor. Its just a smaller engine and in V6 format.Block, cooling channels etc are the same. The qv engine is called the 690T. It uses single scroll turbos being a V6 instead of the twin scroll set up in ferraris F154 motor.

Fun fact: Gianluca Pivetti even developed the 2.0T GME T4 fourcylinder engine that is used in the "regular" Q2 and Q4 Giulia's like Veloce, Ti sport, Estrema or Competizione 😉!

Damn right I would. Why would I want to be like every other damn BMW owner? Out corner and outclass all in one package.

He never said it was……. He even said the Alfa were “keen to point out it wasn’t a Ferrari engine with 2 cylinders lopped off and that it was completely their work” except for the fact it is identical in its design and even intricacies to the V8 and was designed by the same guy 🙄

That info is correct. It's a Bespoke engine created specifically for Giulia and later used in 33 stardale

See, most people relate driving an automobile to horses. A connoisseur and enthusiast relates driving an automobile to experience.
In Italy we say “driving experience, ” the rest of the world says “driving.”

Driving an Italian car has nothing to do with the performance of it, it is much closer to the emotion it arouses in you, the confidence and feeling you get from the start, the respect you have to give her while driving her (YA, her... Cuz for us Italian, cars as a soul).
But I realize how difficult it is to understand when you are used to driving rather than having a driving experience based on a cultural concept.

Alfa QV all day. Former M4 owner talking. Not that the M car is bad. Just doesn't feel like an Alfa. More Raw.

The thing about Italian car brands are that at some point, the people who work for them are poached for want of a better word to work for another. Lampredi, Columbo, Busso, all engineers who have worked and designed for different Italian marks. So when people say it’s a Ferrari engine or a Maserati or a Fiat etc etc It’s inherent relationship is with the designer/engineer, not the brand

If unreliability today weren't as costly as it is, every single day. I owned an M3, but now the things that were present when driving my M3 are more alive in the Alfa. That's why I prefer the 🍀. I want the 🍀 I'm just scared that it's going to be too costly to maintain.

No your wrong its the Ferrari 458 engine with two cylinders cut off.

It can't be from Ferrari because Ferrari didn't have V6 engines until the GTB model appeared in 2021, unless it's F1, but these two are completely different units than in Alfa.

I don't think he said it was the California engine, because that is ofcourse a V8. He saying it's a Ferrari engine because the architecture is on a base level, the same. Which it is.
