It's such a shame that Bret's jump to WCW was basically for nothing in the end. WCW and Eric Bischoff had no clue what to do with him, how to push him, who to book him with for a long-term feud; They just liked having him around.

Really, I know Bret's had an excellent career. It's just that this wasn't a good part of it. He could have had a better run if he was actually pushed properly, but it didn't happen and a stiff kick from Goldberg ended his career earlier than Bret wanted it to end.

Either way, Bret is still 1 on my list because of his skill, his matches and his humble nature. I will always love watching "The Hitman."

I know the Television was one of the lower belts, but Booker made it feel like the most prestigious belt in the company. Dude looked the part, cut great promos, & was fanrastic in the ring.

Nice little match, but Bret's time in WCW felt so weird. He was clearly still one of the best performers on the planet, but nothing ever really made sense with his booking.

Bill Goldberg was the champion and didn't have any idea how to wrestle. The main event was Hogan and Dennis Rodman vs DDP with Karl Malone. Bret should have been the WCW World champion by this point, and getting Booker T over as main event star like did with Steve Austin.
