Sony Vegas Tutorial: Increase Playback Speed

A short video tutorial on how to increase the playback speed of a video for final rendering.

Before you ask!

2 Methods are mentioned in this tutorial, (dont know if theres any more)
1st, is simply increasing the videos playback rate(visible in its properties page) Or using hotkeys, (ctrl)
2nd, is to add a velocity envelope to increase its velocity/playback speed even more.

This tutorial was initially designed to help out a friend but since id be posting it on youtube anyway, may as well make it useful for everyone!

when you "shrink" the video using CTRL and drag, it has a limit. does this tip you showed help me to go beyond that limit?, I mean.. like to do a fast timelapse video, for instance?

Why the hell does every f*cking tutorial on YouTube say to drag the clip?! That's the most ridiculous and inaccurate way to speed up a clip! Go to properties>playback rate.
