In This World Humans Hunt Other Humans For Entertainment

Victoria wakes up in a world where people are separated into three types: those who hunt, those who are trying to survive, and those who simply watch and film the chaos around them. Luckily, she meets fellow survivors on a mission to destroy the transmitter in the White Bear facility to stop the signal that's hypnotizing people into becoming mindless spectators. However, when they reach the location, Victoria learns that the truth is far more sinister than she thought, and she only has herself to blame.

This movie has one of the most unexpected plot twist. Usually I’m good at guessing where a movie is heading, but this on got me.

This was one of the best stories from Black Mirror. I remember watching it the first time and I was genuinely and happily surprised at the ending twist. Great show! :)

I think the concept is interesting, and I liked it the first time I watched it, but the second time through, when you understand the twist, you realize something important. This isn't PUNISHMENT, this is REVENGE. Punishment implies/requires that the punished understands, or at least KNOWS what they did. Revenge doesn't care, they're just torturing her for kicks/money at this point.

I’m sure many people will disagree but this is an awful punishment, once you erase the persons memory it’s not the same person, this is a new person, you’re torching an innocent person who’s got the face of a murder.

The episode made me realise this wasn’t justice, it was a money maker and the people watching and letting it happen are no better then the woman.

Call me a devil, but I feel that this type of justice system where culprits are forced to experience what they made their victims to go through is an apt method for their sentences. Especially murder crimes deserve such level of brutality. (Of course this is not meant for people who were forced to kill in self-defense . But for the rest, burn them 🔥)

This is an EXCELLENT episode of Black Mirror. Arguably one of the best. I wasn’t expecting it at all and it was a gut punch after watching the episode and basically rooting for the main character, unaware that she deserves exactly what is happening to her.

This isn't Punishment... The one you want to punish is gone if you wipe their memories. You're punishing someone that is innocent. It'd be one thing to put the person that actually did the murder in this but it's another wiping their memory.

It makes perfect sense, she did the crime so to them, she is doing the "time" so to speak, except it's in the form of revenge.
