A Day at Lake Vouliagmeni || Greece Travel

I was recently invited by Lake Vouliagmeni to visit the Prive area of Lake Vouliagmeni. #gifted

The lake is naturally formed from thermal springs and some seawater. Little fish come to nibble the dead skin off of you. They do tickle! Lake Vouliagmeni is a wonderful oasis near Athens. While I love a day at the beach, this is a wonderful alternative for a more luxurious day out. Food and drinks are available, and the parking is free.

Thank you for the lovely video. I live in the Athens area of Alimos, but go swimming in Vouliagmeni every week,  as I enjoy the scenery and find it very relaxing. I normally get off 1 stop before Vouliagmeni Lake by the little beach with the little harbor, so it was interesting to see the familiar places.Just a little suggestion for better convenience. Although Elliniko Metro station is the last station of the red line train, it is best to get off at ARGYROUPOLI Metro station, which is 1 stop before Elliniko. Argyroupoli Station is the beginning of the 122 bus route. As this bus route is VERY popular with people trying to get to the coastal areas of Voula, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza, it fills up very quickly and by the time it gets from Argyroupoli Station to Elliniko Station, the bus can get so packed, especially in the summer months, that the driver might not stop to get any more passengers in, as there is no room available in the bus. However, catching the bus outside Argyroupoli station, it is guaranteed to get on the bus and also find a seat to sit down, since it is quite a long way to Vouliagmeni! :)

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. I found your channel as it is my plan to come to Greece once my children are adults. I visited Voula, Glafarda and Athens as a child (my aunt lived in Voula for a few years) and Greece has an away been with me since then. Such a beautiful place. 😁

Thank you for sharing the details and great video of the lake! I like having an idea of what to expect before I venture out, so this is great! We should be back in Athens in a few weeks and have plans to visit the lake. Thanks again!!

Thank you for sharing this visit, along with the contact/pricing info, with us.
I once visited Lake Vouliagmeni many years ago in the evening for drinks (when the lake itself was closed). The shoreline & rock-faces were lit up and it was quite a pretty (and peaceful) sight. If I make it to Greece next year, I'll make point of visiting during the day so I can experience my feet getting tickled by fish 😄
