This is after when you turned of the bloom thingie and the monsters disappear. Including the ones are “Monster Cat”. “The Zookeeper” and “Smile Cat”. And the ones who didn’t disappear are “The Fish Monster” “The Long Necked Freak” “The Roaming Bird” and more. So that means the maker of this zoo’s children are still not destroyed. And we have 2 more missions completed… yet..?

I'm pretty sure that the monsters being missing is due to an error in the game's save system. From watching Fuzion's playthrough, I assume that some data in the game does not reset when you load a previous save or even start a new game, such as how many shards you've collected or even whether you've caused the monsters to despawn. Unsure why this causes a different ending cutscene, though - it may be an unused early version that still gets triggered if you beat the game again when it thinks you've already beaten the game?

Clearly, LIGHTS ARE OFF is primarily an animator, not a programmer or game designer. But no harm, no foul. I'm impressed enough at the amount of effort they put in, and the fact that they seem to be in it just to tell the story of their own creepy little world, not to push merchandise for children like 99% of the YouTube channels that make videos about this game, AHEM.
