This is one of the reasons why I like Elon musk he's a logical thinker and doesn't let emotions get involved. Solving a problem or getting an answer the most efficient way possible in the most logical way possible.

When electric cars become cheaper to run and more reliable than ownership of a gas car, you will see a welcomed change. Many people DO NOT care what the vehicle runs on, they just want cheap transport. Tech always get cheaper every year, and better. We will get there eventually, we don't need to damage our economy for that to happen.

It isn't the electric vehicle that is the harder problem, generating enough electricity with non-hydrocarbon sources is.

Now everyone wants to be his friend. A few years back Mercedes-Benz owned Tesla and sold it back to Elon, they didn't want it. Toyota said No... you know the Big 3 in America lol

We need to transition to renewable energy, that doesn’t mean get rid of the oilfield out right. We still need it for certain things, propaganda would have you believe they want to do it overnight. That would be detrimental and stupid, TRANSITION is the key word here!!!

Fun fact the batteries in all Tesla cars also require mining a mineral that is also in limited supply, so I would say although electric vehicles will reduce carbon footprint somewhat it isn’t a long term solution either.

I love Elon and correct me if I'm wrong, but won't lithium run out a lot more quickly than hydrocarbons if 1, 000, 000, 000+ cars adopt or are forced to adopt? Has he addressed this?

No other fuel source provides the same amount of power

I have figured out a way to make the tesla run WITHOUT needing to be recharged from an electrical outlet and it can run virtually forever without running out of current.

EVs are only as good as the electricity source that charges them.. they're not really THE answer until the power source is 100% renewable

We already have fully synthetic motor oils. You can also have biofuels.
