Jimmy was correct! Some whale species, most specifically the Humpback Whale, have white on the complete underside of their bodies! This includes their tail, flippers, bellies, and underjaw!

The reason behind this? Camouflage! Similar to the Great White Shark, with light on the bottom and dark on top, if seen from below, the whale will be near invisible due to the sunlight (if they are near the surface ofc.) If seen from above, looking down into the deep ocean, the whale will still be mostly invisible!

It’s pretty amazing how the animal world works to ensure a species survival
