The Instagram Algorithm has gone through a series of recent updates, which have dramatically changed things on the platform. The future of Instagram Growth is looking different today than ever before.

In today's video we discuss how IG's algorithm has effectively bifurcated, or split in two. Instagram's location in the social media landscape has been called into question recently - primarily by TikTok. Instagram in turn, has updated their algorithm to help new Instagram pages grow. IG is essentially favoring small pages in their Reels algorithm as a way to stop TikTok's growth and momentum. This means that many large Instagram accounts have seen big reach drops and have seen their reach down.

Insta is basically diverting all of the reach on reels to small pages. Adam Mosseri has even alluded to this - the fact that Instagram wants to help small pages grow and gain followers. IG's primary focus simply isn't on big growth accounts anymore.

With this understanding, large pages will have to utilize different growth hacks, methods and secrets in order to grow on Instagram in 2022. Instagram's algorithm is stacked against big pages now. IG's algorithm is now designed to boost new accounts.

Older, larger accounts should focus on getting on the explore page. The explore page's algorithm is still skewed in favor of large accounts. Typically, pages need several thousand followers to be eligible for the Instagram explore page. In turn, this is a lane where large pages can still compete for sizeable reach. Large pages on IG can lean into the explore page and posting Instagram carousels as a way to get faster growth. Instagram carousels are, in my opinion, one of the best growth tools for large accounts right now.

You should post several carousels each day if you want to maximize your growth on Instagram and grow as fast as possible. Memes and humor tend to perform well in Instagram's algorithm.

It's no wonder Instagram's been making a lot of users mad lately. The make Instagram Instagram again movement started because people were tired of Instagram's latest updates and changes.

Instagram however, keeps making controversial updates, in an attempt to compete with TikTok. IG Reels in large, have been Instagram's answer to TikTok. Instagram is moving as though they're trying to copy TikTok. Many of these changes feel like Insta is turning into TikTok 2.0

Whether these changes help grow Instagram in the long run - we'll see. In the short term, it's presenting a lot of growth opportunities for smaller creators. If you're a new creator on Instagram, today is one of the best times to grow followers on the platform. The algorithm is hacked in your favor right now.

Instagram growth hacks and secrets can help you, but generally speaking, post as many reels as possible if you're a new page. That's just my opinion. Many of my friends who have started new Instagram accounts are seeing huge growth and views with Reels.

The new monthly subscription in instagram is kinda useless and bring no value, who would pay monthly subscription for “exclusive” content in instagram like a few photo of street from photographers content creator.
