Why was the jury NOT allowed to actually hear and compare each recording? ? ? ?

This was a frivolous lawsuit from day one. The intros have different note sequences... PERIOD.

The Wolfe sisters bleet about Randy dying while saving his 12 year old son Quinn, but they never talk about why Quinn was left out of a trust that should have been set up for him. Their mom Bernice rejected Quinn because he was illegitimate.

I love that the report is done by a guy named Randy Paige! (Randy California + Jimmy Page)

It's a very, very, common chord progression, that goes back 300 years, at least. Neither band can claim it, the fact that Spirit attempted to do so is laughable.

The fact is that whenever LZ have been caught "borrowing", they've held their hands up and settled out of court. But in this case, they KNEW that they hadn't stolen a thing.

The only similarity is NOT even exactly the same. Page should countersue for stupidity

I wonder how many "sacrifices" were made for the verdict to swing in this direction. Yeah, I said it.

Stairway and Taurus sound nothing alike! Isn't there are another way you can get people to learn about Randy?

Whamma jamma lawyer talk. That $1 and writing credit they wanted would have allowed them to collect royalties going back to 2011 and into the future. No lawyer puts on an expensive case for only $1. Lawyers try to bedazzle with half truths. $1 PLUS potential millions in royalties - for a song who's opening sounds somewhat like "Stairway" as do dozens of other songs.

They didn't steal that song it's not like Ice Ice Baby and under pressure that was a blatant rip-off

Does the spirit instrumental develop the way STH does? No

It's close but not the same notes in the chord progression.

Stairway to Heaven is an original epic. The Taurus chord progression sounds more like the intro to Summer Rain by Johnny Rivers. Someone is trying to buy a Stairway to Heaven...

Total bullshit. Especially funny when there actually are cases where Page has ripped of old blues players like Willie Dixon. "Stairway to heaven" and specifically the intro is such a generic thing to do on guitar it's possible that 1/3 of all songwriters who ever used a guitar to write songs has done one or more versions of this. It's a minor chord with the root note in the bass and the bass note climbs down one half step at a time and then there are some extra very obvious chords for the ending. Thousands upon thousands of songs are done with this formula. Why? Because it sounds good and it's easy and it sounds more advanced than it is. So ... do Spirit/Randy California actually think they came up with this??? Gimme a break!
