TOP 5 Merle Haggard Country Guitar Solos Of ALL TIME

Let's talk about some REAL Country Music! Merle Haggard is mandatory on any country band's setlist. His songs always had really great guitar parts and signature licks that became essential to any country guitarist! ROY NICHOLS is responsible for many of them, as he recorded most of Haggard's hits in the studio. And live, Merle had some other pickers which I didn't cover on THIS video, but I definitely encourage y'all to look up, such as Redd Volkaert and Clint Strong. James Burton was also in the session where they cut Mama Tried. I also included Tabs for all you chicken pickers out there!

One of my greatest idols ❤ short story.. I had tickets to go see him for the first time ever, and during his tour, I guess his drummer passed out in Philadelphia during a show and they canceled his tour. Merle later died and I never got to see him 😢

But I still keep his music going in my band, singing alot of his songs . My favorite is "Sing Me Back Home" ❤
