That opening shot straight down the hallway looks exactly like the scene where Sean Connery sees the mobster with a knife while he is winding up the victrola, is it the same house where the scene above from the Untouchables was filmed ?

The title should say, 'The 1940s MIDDLE CLASS House'.
Since WHEN did working class people ( the MAJORITY ) have an 'entrance hall'?
Most terraced houses had a front door, which opened into your living room!
You should have made a series showing typical working class accomodation.
