'Enemies of democracies': Concerns raised for 'axis of evil'

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says he is worried about the “naivety” of the Albanese government regarding China.

Mr Bolt said the “axis of evil” consisting of Russia, China, Iran and North Korea are all “working together”.

“All autocracies – all enemies of democracies,” Mr Bolt said.

“You now see Russia supplied with Iranian and North Korean weapons to use in its war against Ukraine.

“China meanwhile swearing an alliance with Russia, also sending Russia help for its war.”

Russia invaded Ukraine because Ukraine is democratic while Russia is not? you are kidding? that war is caused by geopolitics, not democracy. the US built up their allies based on whether that country is democratic? of course not. based on whether that country fulfills the US's national interest.

Thank you for your great programs. As an Iranian outside of Australia I watch your programs and agree with most of your points. However, I think you should change one thing. Let's take the example of Iran, based on Iranian government's secret surveys and assessments of the Iranians 75% of Iranian people do NOT want the current system in Iran and want a secular democracy. This report was supposed to be kept internal but somehow it was leaked out. Based on m own personal experiences dealing with other Iranians it is rare see an Iranian who is really pro regime and they are either the uneducated or are somehow benefitting financially from this system (in terms of having a job, housing, extended education for their children, shopping privileges, access to free resources like cars, trips abroad.... like the good old Soviet Union). Most Iranians refer to Khamenei and his private army (IRGC and Basij militias) as an occupying terrorist force that have hijacked Iran and its resources for their own benefits to serve their evil ideology that has nothing to do with the Iranian culture, civilization or even national interest). In this report you use the term of Axis of a bunch of countries. I think instead of using the good name of these countries you should use the name of the evil people who represent in command of these countries, as people of these countries are oppressed and are actually against the policies of these bad guys (Khamenei, Putin, Kim and Xi), These bad guys present themselves to the outside world as Leaders of these countries, but they are not, because nobody has voted them in democratically. Each have set up the corrupt systems that exploit their people and steal all funds and resources to feed their evil ideology. The free world's ally in these countries are the actual people, not the criminals that run them. I am not sure how you can do it, but please know that long after these criminals are dead, those countries will emerge on to the international scene as positively contributing members of this planet, just like Australia, EU and USA are doing today. Please distinguish these criminals from the country and majority of the people who hate these systems and criminals in charge more than you ever can.
