The official live video for “Behold Our God (Live at WorshipGod)" by Sovereign Grace Music.

“Behold Our God” first appeared on the 2011 Sovereign Grace Music album, Risen. It was the next-to-last track and one of the last songs chosen for the project. When the songwriters (Ryan, Jonathan, & Meghan Baird, and Stephen Altrogge) first played it for the evaluation team, the feedback they received was, “Seems too ordinary at this point. Work on fresh and creative ways of saying these things.” Apparently, God delights in using the ordinary for his purposes, because twelve years later “Behold Our God” has been translated into over 15 languages and is being sung throughout the world. This fresh rendition, recorded live at the 2022 WorshipGod conference, seeks to capture the mystery and awe of God’s transcendence with his grace and mercy in Jesus Christ. It’s one more opportunity to behold the glory of the Lord in the cross and resurrection, knowing that as we do so, we are “being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
