‘Blinded by rage’: Joe Biden cautions Israel over ‘mistakes’ US made after 9/11

US President Joe Biden has urged Israel not to make the same “mistakes” the United States made during its retaliation after the horrific 9/11 attacks over 20 years ago.

The United States launched a War on Terrorism after 9/11 which led to military engagements in Afghanistan and Iraq.

“We felt enraged as well while we sought justice,” he said during a national address.

“We made mistakes, so I caution the government of Israel not to be blinded by rage.”

Israel has vowed to annihilate Hamas after it launched a land, air and sea assault on October 7, indiscriminately killing more than 1,400 people and kidnapping others.
