I have had eczema since I was 2 years old and didn't find about most of my allergies like cat fur and dogs, dairy, eggs and fragrance till I was about 12 which was good because it helped me understand why I was so Itchy when I was at my house but not when I would to visit my dad or someone since we lived in a rural area while we had a dog and two cats with the most ironic being that my mum worked for a fragrance company our house being full with them lol. Not to mention waking up and having to vacuum my bed with all the dead skin and pieces of eczema I would unconsciously scratch through my sleep as well as having blood stains here and there on my bed sheets. By the time I got to high school stress levels were out the roof since on my first to third week I was gone because of my eye surgery because I had keratoconus which was from be rubbing my eyes to much since I had eczema around them too. Learning to meditate and calm helped since If. I messed up or felt stressed scratching was like a coping system for me whether I was awake or through the night I would do it. I just hope I can get rid of this skin for good as soon as I can because every time I heal it to Its full extent It comes right back when I run out of cream, especially in summer and spring time.

Laundry detergent can cause itchy rash. Use minimum recommended amount fragrance free detergent and wash clothes with detergent and a second "full" wash with no detergent to wash out all detergent residues. Don't use fabric softeners in the washer or dryer. This 90% cleared up my rash that covered my whole body. I took allergy pills and steroid creams for years that did not help. Many things can make my skin react but laundry detergent was defiantly causing major problems. Hope this helps you, it helped me!

My problem started after Corona infection, and for last 3-4 months, I am itchy all over my body, some parts affected more than others (pearly and crusty). After being on anti-histamines and urea creams and steroid creams for these last month's and no big relief, I was feeling depressed day by day. For last one week, I stopped it all. I got myself some organic cold pressed neem oil, coconut oil and almond oil- to restrict the neem smell that is definitely not a pleasant one. Religiously applying this mixture 3 times a day.And then also got neem capsules that I started taking orally just yesterday. To be honest, I have not felt so relieved in the last past months. It is of course too early to say how good it would help me, but I am hopeful. In case this info helps you, you may research a bit or talk to your doctor before using it. I will update after a month of use :)

I have had eczema/dermatitis with often really unpleasant itching for 70 years (I am now nearly 71). I have found that the only antihistamine that really prevents itching is the prescription-only medication Hydroxyzine, which has been around for decades. The only downside of using it - and this is really significant - is that it makes many people feel sleepy and 'out of it', and this especially so when you are older. I would even go so far as to say that this side-effect could be mistaken for early signs of dementia. Hydroxyzine is also used to reduce anxiety and to help you sleep. It is not addictive. This video is helpful, because it offers advice that is backed up by the experience of medical practice, rather than offering an off-the-wall remedy that might work for some people...

I think there was some research done on cold coffee/tea compression wraps, which helped the eczema. That's good to look into

Sometimes moisturisers can irritate your skin more, this was the case for me. I use mind tricks to manage the itch now which works really well! 😊

Also, antihistamines are very effective but best to be avoided if possible so you don't become reliant on them.
