I like to use mouse buttons for these kinds of functions. The Windows key and a full screen start menu, switching between virtual desktops, and volume controls.

Nice. Unfortunately I couldn't get AHK to stop opening the ms office app behind the scenes so had to uninstall it. Windows 11.

Hey, great video and thanks for the tips!
I configured the AHK and Winlauncher in the same way as you did in the video, but Windows Key + Space opens WinLaunch and additionally an MS Office App. So far I haven't found out how to ignore the MS Office app when using the keyboard shortcut. Do you have an idea?

HI, Im trying to setup autohotkey and winlaunch but I have an infuriating issue:
When I press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+A winlaunch opens up nicely, but when I try to use autohotkey it also opens the office365 "new document" window, it doesnt matter if i change the shortcut in the autohotkey script, I tried Win+Space, Win+Z, Win+<... it drives me mad.
Oh, and obviously whenever i change the autohotkey shortcut (for instance from Win+Space to Win+Z) the old shortcut doesn't open the office window anymore
Could you please help me?

I get office app opening up every time I press Windows + Spacebar. (Windows 10, 1903). And it cannot be deleted :( This is really really weird, because if I stop script, and just use (ctrl + alt + shift + A) -> only WinLaunch opens up, and by pressing (winsows + spacebar) only language changing menu ppops up.

As a developer on the go I was considering switching my dev laptop to a macbook Pro but hearing you say you've switched the other way gives me second thought. What reasons in particular are the cons for using mac for development and do you have any recommendations for a dev laptop in the same £2-3k range? Also love the videos you put out there!

That launcher looks nice, plus it's useful when switching back and forth between windows and mac.
Though I typically just hit the windows key and type what I want to open (don't like having to use a mouse when I don't need to). Which seems just as, if not faster.

Great work. I know that a lot of people hate the start menu but i like it a bit if you have the start menu open in bigger form that can open on the entire screen and than group apps that i use and it will be simple and easy to use. It's just my opinion other my say otherwise. but i also like how to set up things in this linux gnome like all apps style. Thanks for the video.

Have you thought about using rocketdock/nexusdock or something like that? I use rocketdock personally and i like it more than the standard windows taskbar. And also the rainmeter to have some big clock on my desktop and some small one on the second monitor to easily see the time whenever I want. :) Also I have all of my icons on the desktop but I have turned the visibility off. So when I want to access desktop I just turn the Icons on and I can see the mess I have, and then I turn it off again (I don't use icons personally but when the brother is using this Computer he can use them like that).
