CATIA V6 | Industrial Design | CATIA Natural Sketch for 3D Sketching Experience

From consumer products to transportation, the creative design process always starts with a sketch. Industrial designers across industries first draw their ideas on paper and then, as the project evolves, move to 3D to explore the design volumes and proportions.
CATIA V6 introduces CATIA Natural Sketch, a breakthrough 3D sketching experience that finally brings together the intuitiveness of creative 2D painting gesture and the power of accurate, realistic 3D modeling.
This first-of-its-kind lifelike creative experience helps designers to free up their creativity and share their ideas more rapidly and precisely.
It also allows them to quickly transform their 2D ideas into a 3D reality;
as well as explore design details and alternatives by sketching directly on existing 3D models.

Sketching in 3D allows designers to better understand their design in volume, avoid misinterpretations of 2D views, and better communicate their ideas. It also gives designers and design studio teams the ability to use 3D sketches curves to create the 3D model with surface modeling or subdivision surface modeling tools.
CATIA Natural Sketch complements the CATIA for Creative Designers solution to address the complete industrial design workflow with a unified environment, from ideation and concept to refinement and design validation, from the first sketch to the final production-ready 3D product.
By making sketching in 3D truly as intuitive as sketching on paper, CATIA Natural Sketch brings a revolutionary lifelike creative experience that matches designers' needs. CATIA V6 removes emotional barriers towards 3D creation by enabling designers to focus entirely on creativity and design intent and not on how to use the technology.

Just try getting this software. First off, it`s minimum $10, 000 for Catia, then you`ll have to pay another $5000 for the natural sketch feature. But you won`t find that out until you`ve talked to retailers from two different countries who will only send you a price quote by fax. This is exactly what happened to me. I`ll be making a flame video about it soon with the full story.

If there was "an app for that", whose results could be ported to SW, I'd buy an iPad for my everyday noodling and doodling.

@3dsCATIA i hope u can answer my questions bellow..and if u want to let product industrial designers work "freely" with ur products, could u make it please "less rigid" to many clicking to accept everything even a line and the layers menu is a bit chaotic to me (to me;)) - for example c4d has a much clean layer bar for example...im a vehicle and product designer and i would like to move into catia but still to rigid to experiment forms...no all of us must comeup with class A surf. in1go;)

@JonBanquer All the CATIA videos on YouTube are open for any feedback, comment or question. Your comments have been removed by error. CATIA Natural Sketch is currently not a Cloud Based Solution, it is based on standard CATIA V6 portfolio, as part of CATIA Industrial Design or CATIA Imagine & Shape products

@JonBanquer concerning comments... 3dsCATIA could take a lesson from JonBanquer's own policy of not allowing comments on his video ;)
