How I Created My First Perimeter in Minecraft Survival

How difficult could it be to mine 7 million blocks? Very difficult, as it turns out. I have played Minecraft for around 12 years now, and I have been into Technical Minecraft for around 2 years, but I've never actually made a Perimeter. In this video, I set out to change this by giving my biggest project so far a shot.

Special thanks to those that helped me out with the perimeter:

@mepenguh
@RoseDragonX
@YarnEnderman
@Lonaaaaaaaaaa

Wow, what an awesome video!
I'm really glad I was able to be a part of this awesome project, and it was honestly a lot of fun to help and see the hole slowly get bigger and bigger!
I really hope the process will be a lot smoother with the next perimeter, now that world eaters work on the server again!

I don't think anything is ever going in that perimeter but at least you made one

"Let's say it would require 10 days to mine 10 million blocks by hand"
* Proceed to spend 3 months thinking how to create the perimeter *

Conclusion: dont play on spigot/ bukkit/ paper/ or any kind of server that changes mechanics of minecraft

before doing any huge technical projects like this, just make sure the server software is fabric since fabric servers usually have optimisation mods installed on them to make them run faster than a vanilla server and dont break any game mechanics.

Crazy how their were no liquids (water/lava) at all after the main ocean when running the dupers (or carpet bombers that you call them for some reason) across the full length of the perimeter or no obsidian not to mention in a full ocean perimeter :p
I know you mention sponging out the water but that’s not the main killer of making a perimeter in oceans. It’s the lava and the obsidian because there is so much of it

that's hole-y. (sorry.) cubicmetre has a video on using paper-based servers for technical minecraft, and his conclusion is "don't"

during the moment you needed the most determanation you ironically played a song from a game about determination and the song is played during a fight about determination and TEM

if someone asked me what a perimeter is, i'd say:
A big hole.

It says that there is a limit on how many slime blocks can be pushed at the same time, how to overcome the problem?
