Here are the links I used. Don't lose it, I'm still using it.

History: First Release: 16/07/1993 for .pdf:

I have and am still having a Lot of fun in Slackware. I've watched all of the Eznix videos along with some other videos as well and a butt load of reading & am fascinated by Slack and why it is not the most used OS out there. I say all that but I haven't seen a lot of time in it. Maybe it will break? Don't know. I do know that there is not a lot of youtube videos on Slackware. Especially considering it's the oldest fork out here. There is a ton of docementation on the web. Gotta be some reason Mr. Eznix don't use it as a daily driver. One thing for sure, I will get my chance sooner or later to find out on my own.

Thanks for watching and stay tuned for a follow up video on Slackware 15 installed natively.
Arch on and stay safe friends!!!

Vanilla Slack is one of the distros that I've never really tried. Oh...I've tried it, but that was back in the day when I was a different user. I really need to give Slack a real try. Thanks Dennis!

A couple of excellent slack videos dennis. I did install a few weeks ago, but removed. I do think I'll install on a 32 bit machine, and it can just mature away with age!
Best wishes, stay safe...

I too am testing Slackware on hardware (spare machine). I think the reason why Slackware isn't more popular is that it is different. One needs to do some serious digging and reading along with a bit of experimentation to really become comfortable with Slackware. Most users these days see the computer as an appliance like a toaster, microwave, television. They want it to simply work with a simple set of controls. They don't want to dig or learn. The other reason, at least for me, was that Slackware 14 was ancient of days. Too old for me to use and definitely not worth my time to dig in to. I waited until Slackware 15 to get seriously in to this journey. Question: Do you publish your notes anywhere? If so, where?

i'm someone who has never really distro hopped. i researched the differences between distributions, ultimately settled on one that i think is the least bad of the bunch, and then set it up the way i like. so i wanted to ask: what's the appeal of trying all these different distros? many of them pull from the same ubuntu/arch/debian repos and only differ in graphical setup or preinstalled programs. (edited to note this doesn't apply to slackware specifically)
