Trump faces growing backlash over transgender military ban

In the army, 200 guys share a men's room, where 2 women share the women's room.  I'd say I was gender fluid so I could use the toilet before I crapped my pants.

personal opinion: it's not a discrimination of race or gender, it's a decision against people who are emotionally unstable(not in a negative sense as it reads, but as they don't allow people suffering from depression in the military and gender confusion/transition can be added to the same grounds(not that the identity/confusion is a disease to be treated but that it should be surgically/emotionally corrected before proceeding)). in short, and it sounds just as rude no matter how I word it "get your gender straightened out before we put you at risk of death, cause that mortician won't care what alignment you are. if you have a dick your death certificate will say male, vagina = female, both = hermaphrodite, none = intersex.

This was 4 years ago. I was just thinking about this situation so I looked it up. Trump actually had the right idea. I served in the Army and worked with transgender soldiers. Not one that I have worked with adapted well to the military environment. Also, if they transition while in the military then it becomes a liability. I’ve also seen people get an EO complaint for accidentally calling them pronouns of their biological gender. The way I’ve seen it is that if you haven’t lived the life then you shouldn’t have a vote on them serving unless you take what us veterans and those currently serving into account. Transgenders don’t adapt well to this environment. Unless they are willing to transition after their contract ends, and unless they can accept being called their biological gender for the length of their contract, then they shouldn’t join. For their own good and the good of the military. Not trying to start something, just stating what I experienced. Personally idc if someone is transgender, because it doesn’t really affect me too much, as long as they don’t get mad if I call them a pronoun based on what they were born by accident (I usually just go with gender neutral pronouns to not disrespect them). But I recommend that they stay out of the military unless the conditions I said earlier apply.

Wow a lot of people really dont like transgender people in the comment section huh? I personally think that the fact that they are trangender has nothing to do with how qualified they are to serve their country and i don't see how it makes them mentally weaker than other people. I sympathize with the transgender community and i think anyone should be allowed to serve their country given they are not a burden and i wish them all well in the future. I will pray for their souls that they will find peace because i know that their lives haven't been easy with all the judgement they face on a daily basis.

It makes me upset seeing people actually supporting Trumps decisions... I try to avoid listening to the media and shit because I don't give a damn about this country anymore. It's already to far gone to be saved. Americans are too blind sided by their Patriotic proudness that they ignore that this country kind of sucks! Just because we have freedom and shit doesn't mean we are automatically the best country. I'm not proud to admit I'm American, I'm ashamed.

I understand that gender dysphoria is a real thing, but it does not affect a person physically. They're dysphoria affects how they perceive their gender. Which has nothing to do with serving in the military, they do proper mental checks to see if a person will be able to handle war. If a transgender person is capable of doing so, there should be no reason for this ban to exist.
