I wouldn’t consider myself a Taylor Swift “fan” but I do love this song. It has a sophisticated yet fun 80’s type of vibe. As someone who has an appreciation for timeless fashion I can relate. My sister’s met Taylor a few times and apparently she’s very friendly in person.

I cant believe I'm saying this but the original is WAY better than taylor's version.

Taylors Version feels too...clean and neat. She's very restrained in her singing and the arrangement is as well.

The original you can hear the emotion and drama in her voice. Like she meant each and every last word. I feel that's really what made it such a huge hit. Who doesn't have someone they were madly in love with but they were immature, or it was an on again off again? Didn't it hurt, drive you crazy, make you obsessive?

Nevermind the iconic "take me home" Taylor yells. I was yelling right along with her. It's just the perfect capture of the insanity, rush and excitement of toxc/obsessive relationships in your early 20s.

It's just an entire experience. And I just don't think the TV hit the mark. It was a miss.
