That huge turtle at 11:12 is a Common Snapping Turtle (Chelydra serpentina). It's a large species of turtle native to North America, and is the most common type of Snapping Turtle (hence its name). They can live for many decades, and feed on aquatic vegetation, nuts, berries, grapes, small fish, reptiles, amphibians, insects, crustaceans, and sometimes small mammals and birds if the opportunity presents itself.

It's also very easy to tell the difference between Common Snapping Turtles (CST) and Alligator Snapping Turtles (AST). ASTs are larger than CSTs. They also have Alligator-like ridges running along their backs (hence their name), whereas CSTs don't have that. CSTs also have much longer necks than ASTs, which makes them more dangerous to handle since they can reach around and bite you, whereas ASTs can't do that. ASTs live in fast-flowing rivers and streams, whereas CSTs live in lakes and ponds.

If you ever see a Snapping Turtle out in the wild, it's, more often than not, a Common Snapping Turtle.

Name the bass fry "Truman" after the movie, since it's entire life will be on camera for the world to see.

Retired Polish Air Force pilot here. My son started watching your channel, now I do. Go for the experience with the Blue Angels. It will be worth every second of it.

You ABSOLUTELY have to fly with them. Even if you don't film it, that is one hell of an experience.

You should plant a few weeping willow trees on the island, they will allow for more bird life and give some cover to the bass

CONGRATULATIONS BAMA BASS! AEC USN RETIRED age 75 here. I've been binge watching your site for 3 days now trying to catch up, today being the 4th day. My father was retired Navy BM 1st / ACC, my brother was retired NavyACC. My brother's eldest son (my nephew) made Chief AEC and thought this is not enough. so he went LDO. Now he's a Commander till serving beyond 20 yrs. Have recommended your sight to every relative and friend I know all over this great country! Good, clean, respectful, very informative and entertaining site worthy of success and admiration. Respectfully AEC USN RETIRED GLW ⚓🇺🇲

i grew up watching the Blue Angels down in Beaufort/Parris Island, South Carolina. im a military brat so my folks always took me to the show. not only that, i used to lay out on the trampoline and watch them practice every chance i could. basically, a free show that lasts longer than the real show. they have truly left an impact on my life and will forever be one of my favorite spectacles to witness

Absolutely need to take the opportunity, as an Air Force pilot I wish every single person could have the opportunity to feel what those Gs feel like, there's just nothing that compares and I wish more ppl could just have the experience because it sucks to talk to your closest friends and family and there's just no way for someone to understand without experiencing it. Absolutely go for it
