I edited some found scenes from the 2005 Yume Nikki OVA, crazy how this series was lost media for almost 20 years.
I thought the song "A Lady" by Tally hall fit the weird aesthetic!

wow! This is such a creative interpretation of Yume Nikki — I love the framing, it’s always head-on but takes advantage of perspective. The way you postured her especially is so majestic, like when she’s leaning on the balcony — great pathos with the sunset, you can really feel what she’s feeling. This is such a brilliant exploration with a really underrated song from Good & evil, bravo!

I flew here so fast from over on tiktok. This has honestly just brought me to tears. Not only is your art just beyond beautiful but you can just tell the effort and time that went into this. You did such a good job, I hope you take a good rest! I hope this blows up and becomes a recognisable and nostalgic video in Yume Nikki's history for others like I know it will be for me. Also (second comment sorry lol) But when i first saw this video a few nights ago it made me start crying. YUME NIKKI has always been one of those games I return to when I'm feeling lost, and you perfectly captured its atmosphere within your animation. The somber nature of coping with grim realities, combined with the peacefulness that comes from isolation and exploration- all within a single minute. Such a beautifully haunting song to use as well. Consider me blown away by your art, happily subscribed after this ❤

Gosh this is so good. It's rare to see Madotsuki emote and react but the way you did so feels so good.
Her being concerned for Stoplight Girl and choosing to wake up seeing the accident. It's so good.

GOD, THIS IS SO GOOD!!! I could say a LOT about this animation, but one thing that will probably forever change how I think about Yume Nikki is how you draw the Toriningen! Their heads look to me like they are made out of papier-mache, it makes them so... believable?? Shaped?? Thank you so much for this animation!!
