I remember my mom had me watch the video for this song on MTV back in the day (you know, when MTV still played music videos.) Anyway, she had seen the video before and told me to wait until the end. I did and she explained to me Rob was being chased by himself at the end. 12-year-old me was amazed and terrified. When we went into New York later that year, I kept looking over my shoulder expecting to see another me chasing us; I later found out it was all video magic 😂

My mom is a huge matchbox twenty fan and rob Thomas fan she had all of their albums and his solo albs she used to play this song and me and my sister would stay on the car while she would grocery shop with this song on repeat pretending we were making a music video. Just feel good that even in my 20's it still gives me that giddy feeling.
