Ozzy doesn't get enough credit, how many players would have lost by 1 vote to Yul.

16:11 it CRACKS ME UP the way Parvati compares Russell to a dragon and then the camera immediately shows Coach shaking his head

We're all forgetting my girl Courtney in Survivor China! The charisma in her final tribal performance netted her second place after basically having no idea how to play survivor. Her game was flawed all the way through, and she was never going to beat Todd, but she put on one hell of a show. <3

What’s even crazier about Ozzy’s loss is that Adam later admitted the main reason he voted for Yul in the end was because he and Yul made a deal that if Yul kept Adam in the game longer than Penner, Adam would vote for him at FTC. Yul kept his end of the deal, so Adam did too. Adam’s vote ended up being the deciding vote that gave Yul the win over Ozzy. I’m not sure if Adam ever said that he otherwise would’ve voted for Ozzy, but it’s crazy to think that a single mid-merge deal that Ozzy had no control over may have cost him the game. Ozzy and Yul are my top two favorite players of all time and Yul deserved to win, but Ozzy doesn’t get enough credit for his performance in Cook Islands and it hurts that because he lost by one vote to Yul, arguably one of the greatest winners ever, he’s totally overlooked most of the time

I feel so bad for Jake. He and Katurah should've voted together. That was there best way of voting out Dee

I hate the whole "after the show aired the jury realized yeah, we messed up" argument some people use. Of course some people's opinion may change after they have months to cool off and see things from an edited tv show perspective that can paint players in a positive light or negative light. The whole point is to convince them to vote for you to win then and there when they are still in the moment and the emotions are still running high

Laurel never making a moving on Dom and/or Wendel will forever be the most upsetting moment in this whole show for me 😭😭😭

Not just Jake but I'd put Austin as an honorable mention, his FTC speech was surprisingly good and he managed to get 3 votes against Dee who we all thought was gonna sweep the jury(or at least another 7-1-0 vote)

Jake didn't have a good social game, however, he deserves some credit. He was like the only person after merge that tried to get Reba out, while players like Bruce, Emily and Katurah were actively playing against their best interest lol. His tribe self destroyed and turned against each other while Reba played safe for most of the season. I really hope he returns for a Second Chance.

The first one I think of is Courtney Yates. Her surprising FTC showed how much potential she has both in the game and in general.

Honorable mention to Hannah Shapiro of MvGX here, for me. She made a lot of good points at FTC about the work she put in to flipping Ken, and her role in getting David voted out. Honestly, it's a good argument, and she puts in a lot of effort to make sure the jury knows it. Unfortunately for her, I think some visible emotional breakdowns coupled with the narrative of "Adam vs. David" already being written in the minds of the jury (thus giving Adam the credit when David was voted off, despite Hannah playing at least as much, if not more of, a part in that) tanked her chances, regardless of her arguments. That and Adam bringing up his mom. Like Jeremy bringing up his child on "Cambodia", it's just hard to compete with that.

I never even realized that Michele was considered such a surprising winner until I started getting into social media. When it first aired me and my mom were not shocked by Michele’s win at all. We actually kind of expected it. Aubry was a great competitor and I understand people expecting her to win, but I also don’t get why it was so baffling to people that Michele won. I don’t even think Michele got a bad edit like people claim. Confessionals checked in on Michele a lot and showed that she had a good understanding of where she was at in the game. It just wasn’t a surprising win to me. Idk maybe it’s just cause they threw in a little too much Aubry content

If I were ozzy (and I sympathize a lot with him due to many factors other than class solidarity), I’d be talking about how he’s going against lawyers who will be well off regardless.
When Jonathan brought up arrogance, I would talk about how I never was good at something, and wasn’t expected to. How I finally found something that I was objectively better at, and how I understood I wasn't worthless.
That being said, i think Ozzy winning South Pacific would be much more satisfying for me than Cook Islands.

Yul vs Ozzy is one of the all time great final twos (sorry Becky) in history. Each of them played their own game about as well as they possibly could have that season. Such a shame that one of them winning that season forever prevents the other from ever getting that title, as both absolutely belong in the Survivor winner pantheon (the Cook Islands version of them at least)

If Paravti two more connections on the jury, she would have won HvV. Had she maintained the working relationship with Amanda, she would have had her vote. Alas, here we are.

Going into 45 ftc and seeing Jake give really good answers of Dee I was like "Are we getting Gablered what is going on!"

Jake had no shot in my opinion. His bad season leading up to tribal spoke louder than his amazing tribal counsel performance.

I think Romeo from 42 actually had an amazing final tribal performance but didn't play nearly a good enough game leading up it

I think Chase should have made the list. He actually had a great Final Tribal Council performance, but it was too little too late. His wishy-washiness throughout the game sunk him against the likable Fabio, even if the final vote was close.

I'd actually add Russell Hantz to this list from Samoa. I was surprised to see he actually had a good performance. He laid out his case for being the mastermind. He paid compliments to Galu. He was more humble than I remembered in FTC. Unfortunately, the cast had their minds made up about him. He was an aggressive player and came across as cocky. I think them knowing he had money didn't help.
Chrissy 100% deserves to be on here. She laid out a great argument and destroyed Ryan when discussing who had the stronger social game.

The problem with Parvati's claim she controlled Russell was it was a blatant lie. She couldn't stop him from voting out Danielle or talk him into eliminating Sandra who she identified as the bigger threat.
