I swear to god this design of a counter is the stupidest thing they did why wouldn’t it just have been tap Y triangle!?

Just hold the Y or triangle button and while holding down the analog but quickly press Y again before the last slash hits. And just remember:

Three slashes for regular thugs
Four for ninjas and brutes

For anyone trying to do this with mouse and keyboard, you blade dodge by tapping Counter (right click) between slashes while also holding any one of WASD key then release after the slash. Repeat for each slashes

Took me too many attempts to figure that out

Update: don't hold W button. It's unreliable. Also if you just want to dodge than you can hold counter while holding movement key.

An even easier way is to mash the counter button a few times before the final slash.

Characters like Nightwing and Robin should be able to just block the blade enemies attacks because they have weapons too

Arkham vet here its actually a really useful and easy skill in city and origins in knight the window time to dodge is insanely fast from the militia compared to the tyger and thugs

I can muster up a 50x+ combo without getting hit on hard mode but yet this counter I still do not understand

Your telling us how to do the blade dodge but showing the blade doge takedown you gotta push and hold the Y or ∆ button in between slices and let go of the button and repeat after each slice and rotate the joystick

I’m willing to bet my entire life savings that this entire block system is either glitched or broken. Because for every site that I have visited, for every YouTube video on this topic that I have watched, and even following Word for Word what the description in the game says to do it’s still does not consistently work🤬.

0:05 this slash is the only i cant counter. Not even in Origins with the Combo upgrade that makes the time slower. I just dont get the timing
