Okay, here me out. Since Super Mario 3D All-Stars is a limited release, once April 1st comes, we get a Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, and Nintendo Wii Virtual Console on the Nintendo Switch, so that we could play those games for free. Maybe, Nintendo just wanted to get extra sales for those amazing games, since it's been over a decade since all of their releases. We could also get a GameBoy version as well.

I think they should drop virtual gameboy/ advance early this year and later on virtual 64 it would literally extend the switch’s life which it will need to keep up with new gen ps5 and xbox

It could be because they are going to port Banjo Kazooie to the Switch Eshop. That’s probably how they will do it.
