Detailed simulations performed by an LMU team led by Dr. Alice-Agnes Gabriel and Thomas Ulrich show how the fatal sequence of events unfolded. +++ LMU’s Career Service has come up with an unusual mode of career development – golf. The idea is to partner students with business people on the golf course. Discussing career prospects while strolling down the fairways should be less stressful than facing a formal interview! +++ Excavations on the Stätteberg in Southern Bavaria, carried out by a team of archaeologists and students led by LMU professor Carola Metzner-Nebelsick, have unearthed the remains of massive walls dating to the Bronze Age. The fortified site must have been the largest of its kind in the area. +++ Little is known about the history of the Jewish community in medieval Munich. Students from the Faculty of History and the Arts at LMU have assembled an exhibition that sheds light on diverse aspects of Jewish life in the city. The exhibition in the Lending Room at the University Library is open until October 11.+++
