Why can Russian submarines dive deeper than American ones? It’s all about the materials. While U.S. subs use steel, Russia used titanium during the Cold War—allowing them to reach depths over 2,000 feet. But was it worth the cost?

Titaniums not actually stronger than steel, just lighter so you can use more of it.

It's true that the Kursk was saved by its titanium hull LOL that doesn't change the fact that all equipment from Soviet or Russian technology is completely obsolete!

Russia should have focused on taking care of their people instead of compete with America. Space tech, expensive weapons and planes and ships to the point they went bankrupt. Not only was it bad for their own country, it made all countries around them have to waste money on defence instead of Schools and hospitals and other good things.
