While I dont hate difficulty settings I feel this entire Fire res thing is just artificial difficulty and it feels so bad to have farmed all that prebis. Its such a slap to the face. Having to switch my Kazzak Fel infused leggings for random Fire res really feels bad and demotivaties me so much. Such a stupid move by blizzard I feel.

I wouldn’t have found it annoying if the thresholds were said way earlier. But after doing all the pre raid bis grind and then being told “Nah you need this gear instead” just pissed me off. And the fact that it’s not damage you can heal through as you slowly gain more fire res seems like a giant miss.

Its amazing because its optional also there is still a goal other than loot after you clear it

what is the point of getting more gear in the raid if you don't even use it? Random FR gear becomes bis for completing the raid at the highest level rather than the actual gear that drops in the raid

we ran into the same issue with totems, even more so since some of our shamans didnt spec into increased range

Does the armor class on fire res gear matter at all for the tanks for heatwave 2 and 3?

Or can't it just ne any fire red gear?

I don’t particularly care about the FR requirement, I think MC should have some but I do feel like the different modes was a bit lazy and I’m not a fan of the SoM mechanics.

The trash spawns very super weird. If you wiped, you’d have to deal with pats respawning in the middle of your next attempt.

We really just wanted vanilla MC/Ony with health/damage values adjusted for our power levels.

but they're trying different ways of catering difficulty on a resistance mechanic that otherwise has less mandatory requirements than fingers (aq nature res i've heard of but not fully dived into, but I was the shadow res lock tank in twin emps, which definitely had that matter)

My guild has been getting two Magamadar kills because we do the raid on two different days. If you don’t douse any runes and come in on the second day he spawns again. More loot for the huge twenty man raid is nice!

Geddon on Heat 1 only puts bombs on 2 players, he also doesnt leave a trail of fire after every inferno cast. The bombs still leave a patch of fire on the ground regardless though.

glad this will hold most raiders back in obtaining all the gear so they can retire early so this to me is a win.
