This is the first henna I used also, exact brand and color. I've switched to buying Henna Sooq hennas now because they do a better job in really attaching the color to my head and not irritating my scalp, but the combo of henna and indigo in a 2 step process is very effective. I also add aloe vera powder to my henna step and a little salt to my indigo step, to get the color to take more easily and also be more moisturizing a process. Seems like your hair did fine without the added ingredients though. Next time I do mine I intend to add some neem and bringraj to the henna and also put a little of the indigo into that first step. Trying to get to where I can just touch up the roots with a single step and have that blend well enough.

The black color doesn’t look like a true black. More of an ash brown perhaps?

When you rinsed out step 1, was it just a water rinse or shampoo? Same q for step 2. My hair is thin and if I don’t put conditioner on it, I can’t comb it. Did you put conditioner after step 2?

How does she touch up just the roots every few months or so?
