Uh, people.. this is as effective as a no shoplifting sign.

...uhm...
the kids come in with guns after school already started..
How about cheap/no metal packs (only zippers are metal, easy to replace)
Then have and metal detectors..?

Regardless, any of these rules wont stop a kid from whipping out guns from a folded up hoodie.

This seems extremely ignorant UNLESS its more for drug dealers

This doesnt stop knives or guns from walking in...

Plus, these kids aren't riding the bus and going to class..

"Hey tommy, they banned backpacks. How are you gonna do a school shootings now?"

... "uh ill just start shooting when someone tells me my backpack isnt allowed.. OR just show up during class"

Seriously.. the only debate realistically now is SECURITY and whether they're armed or not
