Interstate 35W - Minneapolis, Minnesota - October, 2022

Drivelapse video of the several freeways of Minneapolis, starting on Interstate 94 before quickly transitioning to MN-610 and heading easterly along US-10 until it meets I-35W. The video then follows I-35W southerly through Downtown Minneapolis before ending just south of I-494 in the southern suburbs.

The twin cities region seems to have a very extensive freeway network for a metro of it's size, kind of like Kansas City. The freeways look really modern and aesthetically pleasing from what I've seen.

I really enjoyed the music on this one and Minneapolis surprised me, some very nice infrastructure on display in this video.

Wonderful drive with wonderful skies! MN Highway 610 is a well-built freeway through the Northern Twin Cities suburbs, as it is one of the newest freeways in the Metro. Also on I-35W, the Smart-Lane gantries were removed a few years ago and upgraded the left lane to an E-ZPass Lane in 2021. Previously was a MnPass Lane.

In the northwestern suburbs of Minneapolis, it's cool to see MN 610 which is a complete freeway signed as a state highway. Also, I-35W MN through Minneapolis is outstanding with the western portion of an interchange with I-94 having the reconstruction and new ramp configuration complete.

No wonder Minneapolis freeways have light traffic than in the Toronto area! That's why they have an extensive freeway network!

I'm not necessarily a "just one more lane" bro, but MN 610 from US 169 to MN 252 in Brooklyn Park (starting at 1:54) could really use a third lane. That stretch surprisingly becomes a full-on parking lot during rush hour.

It's a bit hard to believe that there's another Minneapolis/St-Paul video just after 5 months, while the last hiatus from A video from that serie was almost 5 years.

A (not so) fun fact about Minneapolis, it has one of the most common number of Police brutalities. For example, we all remember George Floyd's death, in may 2020, which I mentionned him on your last Minneapolis/St-Paul video.
Oh, btw, I recently saw a trailer of a movie of Super Mario, that is set to be released this year, according to the trailer, it looks like super epic!

Oh, & I know that I should mention this on you last LA video, but right now, there's a huge blizzard on that aera. So, if you planned to go there this spring, I'm afraid you'll have to delay it
