This is an excellent video to come out after the Cannon Renaissance. I had a lot of fun voting in that. Two of the three cannons I really like were in the top five.

I totally agree. Voting is very important. In regards to political voting, Im not promoting anyone but voting does not matter if you are not informed and do not vote your consciences however it is. Vote but do not just vote. Vote for what you believe in and understand. Situational ethics do not belong in politics and screw everything up as anyone can see with how well that’s been getting us over the decades. By that I mean the lesser of 2 evils. Evil is still evil. If you are presented with choices you don’t like, you do have another option. Just thought id share my thoughts. Take it or leave it.

i like the idea. :D god my eyes hated switching to the wiki. that irc chat thing made my head hurt. just the coloration. would have been nice to use a format I'm familiar with to get registration stuff out of the way. i mean the headaches the irc caused are what dragged it out for so long.

I've been reading articles and enjoying myself on the wiki for a few years, though I don't have an account. I've always felt that if I'm going to make an account, it should be to contribute in a big way, like writing an article. I've never thought about just making an one to vote. I also don't feel like it's right for me to critique someone's work when I myself don't have much writing experience. Would it really be okay to make one anyways? Even if it's just to vote?

As someone who recently registered on the SCP wiki, fought through some of the wikidot hurdles and found cimmerian's previous videos on the topic to not be enough information, I'd be up for helping. I registered on the SCP wiki specifically so that I could upvote/downvote articles so I know how realistic it is to make a change by doing that.

As for the gatekeeping aspect of it, I kind of get it, but registering is light enough that it weeds out the tons of people who might come in and brigade articles or massively upvote the popular articles just because they saw a video on it. If you're going to join a discord server to figure out how to join, I think the person is committed enough to join and doing it for the right reasons, at that point they should be helped.

Replace the any word that is about the wiki like “article” with stuff about a country and democracy this could be cimmerian telling us that democracy is flawed
