I really loved this song that I'd repeat it everyday but I always thought this was about Sir Didymus from the other Labyrinth. He's also an insane soldier living as a hermit far far away.

Does anyone know the meaning or backstory to the lyrics? To me it sounds like its from the perspective of a soldier who's king goes insane and is blinded by his greed and that will uses his soldiers like slaves to do his bidding to get what he wants and the soldiers are to afraid to step out of line for the fear of punishment of those who don't obey his command.
On another note this song and its lyrics are awesome!
