0:20 can we just take a moment to appreciate that Bowser is a good enough king to actually remember the name of one of his most loyal kingdom members, and actually cares enough to call out and correct Mario on the improper naming?

It doesn’t make him necessarily GOOD per se, but it does at least show that loyalty will actually be respected with this guy.

for those who don’t know: if you kill smb bowser with fireballs he turns into many different types of enemies until the final fight but bowser is lavaproof later after his skin is burned off and dry bowser starts existing

Pff, we all know that Bowser is actually a Lakitu in disguise in 5-4. And I definitely didn't have to google what he was in castle 5. No sir. I know my in depth super mario lore.

In reality, the reason you fight Bowser eight separate times in the first game is because the first seven aren't actually Bowser; they're basic enemies disguised as Bowser via magic, hence why when you kill them with fireballs, they transform back into their original form, whereas killing the true Bowser in World 8 results in no such effect.

Now, as for why Bowser continues to appear over and over again in subsequent Mario games.... I have no idea lmao
