There is this popular new scam on Steam where people try to get you to join their competitive tournament, or vote for their team. The scammer then redirects you to this site that asks you to sign in with Steam, and then input your credentials. Of course, you then lose your accounts!

Thanks for watching guys! Please don't fall for this!

Just happened to me. What stopped me was the “remove authenticator” alert on my phone. That’s when I stopped and said that’s going too far.

After that, he unfriended me.

Happened to me yesterday. Lost my knife, awp, m4 the list goes on. Over 200 quids worth of stuff. They logged into my account when I was in a game and stole all my stuff. I didn't actually realize it was that bad until I connected back to the game i was kicked from, pulled out my knife, and seen the default one appear. It was actually such a horrible feeling, don't wish it upon anyone.

Thank you for the warning man, a guy randomly added me today and asked the same thing but for a csgo tournament with a prize pool 500.

I don't even play that much tf2 anymore and this just happened to me. I assumed it was legit at first since he had 3k hours on tf2 and I had 2.5k. When the scammer said they'll send a link that's when I looked up this video because I knew what was going on, you're a lifesaver dude.

I got hit with a similar scam when i first started steam.
I got a friend request and didn't think anything of it.
Some time after, a month or so, i got a message from them asking me to vote for their team which was in a tournament.
Being fairly new at the time i thought yeah okay i can help someone out.
So i clicked the site, signed in through steam and it said no new users may register.
I told him what happened and he said Okay.
Then every single piece of tradeable items i had for tf2 got yoinked away from me.
It happened again recently and it helped me connect the dots after yet again my tradeable items were "gifted" to an obvious bot account.
What concerned me the most was the fact i never got a steam guard notification for it, so i had to reset that whole thing.

I've seen this a lot of times, it isn't really new to me.

Their website is bad, I tried to log in with an alt account.

This alt account has nothing on it (Level 0, no games played, no mobile authenticator, etc)

If I try to log in with the alt, it asks for mobile authentication.

You can probably see the problem.

Thanks for the warning Kes. I don’t play tf2 all that much either, not ever since SWTOR got added to steam back in July

When someone sends you anything that seems fishy like this, Instantly do a background check. Had someone try to scam me yesterday, googled his name, came up with about 5 results of the exact same scam.

And this is why I don’t trade or chat with people

There's a similar scam where they ask if you want to help them promote their "(insert game here) site" for money and they'll probably try to get you to log into some site to steal your account. I just reported one of these accounts. I hope Valve does something about these things.

I just lost everything. I thought people noticed my talent. Why havent valve solved this problem? They bypassed my steam guard, and cleaned out my inventory.

One of my friend fell victim to the "vote for the team" scam and sent me the same message as you described. When he recovered his account he mentioned that his account blocked his friends without his knowledge or consent.

I just had this. All my stuff is gone. The account is completely gone and I have no way to get it back. All my memories, hours, and money. Gone.
