Lang Fellowship Symposium: Jessica Auger | Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Studies

Jessica Auger is a junior in the Education Studies and Urban Studies programs. After years of advocacy in the field of education in Little Rock, AR, and Boston, MA, Jessica came to New York to study education through a social justice framework. The city has inspired her to expand her work to issues of food justice and poverty. This summer, Jessica worked for Harlem Grown - a Harlem based community garden and education non-profit that advocates for equitable food access, youth development opportunities and community empowerment. As the Youth Program Coordinator, Jessica developed curriculum for the organization's first summer camp and community nutrition workshops. She hopes to continue her graduate studies in public policy, with a focus in issues of poverty.
