BJP Nominates Draupadi Murmu As Candidate For President Of India Against Opposition’s Yashwant Sinha

New Delhi: Hours after, the Opposition announced its candidate for Presidential Election 2022, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced Draupadi Murmu as its Presidential nominee for the July elections. the decision was taken during the party’s parliamentary board meeting at the BJP head office in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda, among others attended the meeting.

Mamata's candidate for Presidential polls, Yaswant Sinha is sure to suffer a humiliating defeat. It's better that he withdraws his nomination. Naveen Patnaik's party BJD will definitely support NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu as she is an Odia but also a tribal candidate. Even Jharkhand JMM, a tribal party will be forced to support her. Besides YSRCP & TRS are also likely to follow suit.
