Anyone involved is relevant in a court decision. Whistleblower laws also only protect whistleblowers from reprimands in the work place.

You always have to be mindful of not doing something that you wouldn't want "the other lot" to do in the future.

If these 'republicans' had any perspective further than the next 24 hours of the news cycle they would appreciate that they, in the future, might need to protect the anonimity of a whistleblower for a Dem administration.

This goes beyond short-term political games, a healthy democracy **needs** a way for folk working in govt to be able to report wrongdoing.
