Rough translation :

0:16 I was really confused when a manga translation translated a cabaret girl as a cabaret girl when she was in fact a prostitute (or at least that's what I figured given how open to sex with strangers and bargaining eith it she was). But I do vaguely remember that the Japanese avoid designating brothels as brothels and instead name them massage parlors or possibly things as cabaret.
Perhaps it's more in the vein of western movie cabaret with cancan dances.
The thing is that in Polish we refer to a type of stand-up comedy as cabaret, which confuses me even more.

EDIT: I looked it up and there are many subcategories of cabaret. However, one definition does state that a cabaret is a name for a medittereanean style brothel where the girls walk among clientele eating at tables and mingle with clients.
