My father's doctor's said the same thing about my dad when he had a stroke and he'd only live 6 month or so. Dad lived over 10 years more. Got his speech back and was able to walk with a cane.

Once she is able to be home with her therapy, it will get even better. Being at your own surroundings is helpful as well.

I'm a little shocked the first physician said what he did. He knows the level of residual brain damage from a stroke is unable to be fully determined until the swelling in the brain resolves and that is a slow process. It sounds like Chris is making amazing strides. I have no doubt you being by her side is great support and encouragement for Chris. Her moving her right foot is a good sign. Our brain is pretty amazing - we can relearn how to do things again - that's pretty awesome! I'll continue prayers for you, Chris and the entire family. Get some rest - I know how tiring going from home to facilities can be week after week. God Bless!

What a great update Jimmy. God does work miracles. As a nurse in the ER we have had people come in with massive strokes and they weren’t lucky. Chris is a fighter and with God on her side she will go home. Don’t be upset if it isn’t the exact day but she will go home again.

I told a friend of mine about Mrs. Chris. My friend had a bad stroke about a year ago. She didn't know who y'all were but she immediately said she was going to be praying for her and look y'all up on YouTube. Dang near brought a tear to my eye. Prayers and God bless yall 🙏
