When companies started doing DEI their bottom line started looking bad so ones that want to stay in business are doing a massive course correction.

It IS a big deal when millionaires leave a country, because they take their money with them. The economy suffers since these rich people are no longer around to spend vast amounts of money within the country. They also often end their local investments, meaning that people now lose jobs when the factories or businesses close down. In addition the government now looses massive tax revenues. Some people claim that the rich don't pay taxes, but everyone pays sales taxes/property taxes/etc... California today is a prime example of how to alienate the wealthy who then leave and take their money with them. How has that worked out for California? Very. Badly.

We need an economy that actually works for everyone in America where wealth isn't so concentrated at the top and there's not such a disparity between the haves and the have nots. I personally *do* care about them having a flag. Why is it that they get a flag it’s not even that I want one for everyone else, I just don’t think creating a made-up identity for yourself warrants you having not even just one flag, but dozens upon dozens of flags. But more importantly, I’m against them, strong, arming companies, and municipalities into incorporating that flag everywhere. Especially because you know if straight people created their flag, not only would they go, absolutely nuts, protesting it, but it definitely wouldn’t be incorporated in stores, schools and public spaces. All that flag does is divide and segregate people.

They won’t ditch it just yet; they’ll try to hide it or change the name of it. The problem is a lot of people have come through via the era where work or ability didn’t matter and their DEI policy hired them and you can’t just get rid of them. It won’t change yet.
