Baybee!! Word on the street is that a couple of months after Taraji P Henson talked about pay disparity in Hollywood, and made Oprah Winfrey look like a villain, she’s having a pretty hard time landing jobs.

Allegedly, she’s gotten to the point where she has to sell her assets koz Hollywood has officially blackballed her!

So, is she really broke or is she selling her homes because Chicago is just not doing it for her? Let’s find out!

I think she’s doing the right thing. Why continue to pay a Mortgage on property that your not living in or a city that you rarely visit. When Taraji purchased both condos she was on top of her career. She was the main star of Empire. And let us not forget she was engaged to an football player who was from Chicago. After Empire was discontinued and her engagement was over so was Chicago. I’m sure she probably wanted to keep both condos, but as she said “The Money Wasn’t Maffin.” She is a phenomenal actress and she will be on top again. I feel like part of the issues is she’s being mismanaged. I read somewhere that Dwayne Johnson felt like he was not getting real opportunities so he fired everybody, got a new team, and is much better for it.

It's a shame that colored actresses get paid less than Caucasian women. I think it is because black movies probably have smaller budgets. The directors and producers are getting rich off these movies. We are the biggest consumers. Where is the money going? Greed is a deadly sin. I hope she gets her just do! I think actors and actresses need to diversify their income. For instance, stop buying homes that don’t generate income. Instead invest in assets, like stocks, etf, real estate, like an apartment building. Same applies to us regular folks.

Amazing she’s telling her truth and people think she’s supposed to just accept not being paid what’s she’s worth. This is not just happening to her, it’s happening to a lot of actresses. These people are taking advantage of them and some of you expect them to just take it. This is the same exact thing Oprah and others did to Monique, but people want her to shut and take it. The roles she play aren't roles that will sell movies overseas. They don't care about a poor, battered, struggling strong single mother in other parts of the country like they are here in the US. She's pretty much type cast herself and this is the only market for those type movies. Proud Mary and Hidden Figures are probably really 2 of the only few roles where she showed versatility.
There are too many female actresses who can be picked to play those roles, so that makes it hard for her to ask for a payday of $20 million and the movie budget are probably that much in itself.
